Multiplying Transformative Leadership Through Global Learning Programs

- Mobilizing a movement towards the IDGs -

In this Gathering we will dive into the tough questions around how to actually bring about the deep leadership transformation that is demanded of our organizations and institutions if we are serious about reaching the Global Goals in this decade. This exploration will look at concrete examples of transformative learning journeys for sustainable development. We will explore experiences from leadership programs aiming at effecting change for individuals, organizations and systems in a direction that has a multiplying impact on fulfilling the 2030 Agenda. Examples will be drawn from UN programs, the Ashoka network and other cross-sector experiences.

This Gathering will host a panel of leaders who work hands on with sustainable development through areas such as humanitarian and disaster relief, poverty alleviation, environment and climate action, social innovation and systems change. We will explore critical questions around what the role of leadership training programs can be, what makes them effective and how to ensure that individual learning is actually transferred into the ambitious desired outcomes of systems transformation.

Join us in a conversation with leaders working across sectors to effect transformation globally.

The Gathering will start 17.00 CET in Zoom. The official end is at 18.30 CET. After that it is possible to stay on for an additional 30 minutes of "afterglow" to chat with other participants and contributors.

About the IDGs

In 2015, the UN Sustainable Development Goals provided us with a comprehensive plan for a sustainable world by 2030. However, progress is not happening fast enough.

There is an urgent need to increase our collective abilities to face and effectively work with complex challenges. This is why we are co-creating the Inner Development Goals (IDGs) - a blueprint of the capabilities, qualities and skills that are needed to achieve the 17 SDGs.

The Inner Development Goals is a non-profit, open-source organization to help us develop the collective inner skills and qualities needed to overcome our global challenges and move towards a thriving world.
